My Story

I am Courtney McClendon. The Restoration Coach.

As a young lady, I dealt with too many insecurities to count. I was always looking for affirmation in people & had a desire to be loved, no matter how I was treated. Even as little girl, I just wanted people to like me.

I later spent several years of my adulthood searching for my worth and wanting to be wanted. I wanted to feel like I was as pretty as the other girls I was around, and I wanted to lose weight so I would feel more attractive. So badly wanting to be thought of as beautiful, I changed my look to draw more attention.

I spent years in church, but I hadn’t yet learned how to lean in on my own. Through those stages of insecurities, I began to learn what God thought of me. God taught me about my intrinsic value and the worth He found in me. It was through many hardships, recurring cycles, heartbreak and God vindicating me that I learned to accept that He created me in his handiwork and His own image. I learned to have confidence in myself.

The Lord has formed a unique, yet beautiful love story of Him loving a sinner like me. Even in the most trying of moments, The Lord always created a lesson for me to take away in order for me to grow closer to understanding His love for me. In Christ, there is no mistake or insecurity too great for Him to heal. He sees flaws and mistakes and wipes it all away. I knew when I began to look to God for acceptance instead of looking to people, He would not drop me or leave. It was different, and it was what I needed all along.

You are unique and I want to help you open your eyes to how God sees you. As Charley Stanley puts it, God has intimates. Those who choose to make time for Him. When I truly poured out my heart to Christ, I was able to learn who Courtney was. I found my greatest passion and purpose in encouraging others of God's love.

The most important relationship you can ever have is with God.

Today, I am a daughter of the King, wife to my husband Brandon (my partner in life), a mother of two bubbly little ladies, Brooklyn and Bailey, and we currently are living life here in Georgia. My happy place is right here — loving my family, creating courses & content, and coaching amazing people on how to access a deeper dependency on Christ.
